Manchester, UK – February 28th 2018: IX Reach, global leader of remote peering and cloud direct connect has appointed Simon Vye as its new CEO with immediate effect. Vye replaces Founder Stephen Wilcox who takes on the role of President and will remain active in day to day running of the business.
Vye brings to IX Reach over 25 years of experience in senior management positions in global telecoms companies across Europe, the U.S., Middle East and Asia, and has a deep understanding of technology, its growth trends and patterns, and their impacts on international telecommunications markets.
Vye was most recently Head of EMEA and Asia Sales at global fibre network giant Telia Carrier and before that held the position of CEO at Telstra Global EMEA. Prior to 2007, he held senior management positions at AT&T, Colt, Liberty Global and Sprint.
Based at IX Reach’s Manchester HQ, Vye will lead the senior management team and oversee IX Reach’s business operations covering offices and staff in Europe and the Americas.
