Press Release: IX Reach announces first phase upgrade completion of its next generation network
Manchester, United Kingdom – July 20th 2018: IX Reach, the leading global provider of carrier services and connectivity solutions, has completed its first phase implementation of its new 100GE (Gigabit Ethernet) core infrastructure.
This upgrade represents a complete architectural overhaul in its global network, fully integrating previous Allegro customers into a single platform.
The first phase of this upgrade has allowed IX Reach to extend 100GE services across Europe in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Manchester, including full Nx100GE upgrades to major Internet Exchanges including AMS-IX, DE-CIX and LINX.
This key milestone further advances the company in its automation capabilities, reducing delivery timescales and providing support for scalability demands, across its product portfolio such as cloud direct connect, IP BGP transit and remote peering connectivity.
Both IX Reach’s two colocation suites, GCC LON in LD8 at London Docklands and the recently launched GCC MAN in MA1 in Manchester’s densely connected Science Park, have been included in the first phase upgrades - providing an even more attractive full end-to-end connectivity solution to customers.

The significant investment by IX Reach in its core infrastructure shows commitment to meeting the global challenges of substantial traffic growth service providers face, such as IoT (Internet of Things), big data and content delivery.
