IX Reach attends EPF 8 in Reykjavik

September 2013: For the eighth year in a row, fans and admirers of peering got together for EPF (European Peering Forum) which this year was held in the most northern capital in the world: the stunning Nordic city of Reykjavik, Iceland.

This year’s EPF attracted over 200 key attendees – many of which hadn’t attended an EPF before which made for a new and exciting conference with fresh blood, and in a city where few people had previously visited – it was a great event to be at! Stephen Wilcox – IX Reach’s CTO, Ruth Plater – Head of Marketing and PR, and Elaine Dixon – Public Relations and Business Development, attended the three day invite-only event. After the welcome speech from Kurt at Netnod, and other talks held by AMS-IX, Equinix and LINX – needing refreshment from all the hard work, everyone headed to the Monday night social at the stunning glass landmark venue, Harpa.

On Tuesday, talks were given by Brocade, and Hurricane Electric and then panel discussions were held before heading in convoy to The Blue Lagoon – a geothermal outdoor spa which relaxed everyone very nicely!
