IX Reach Presents at the France-IX General Meeting
October 2013: On September 26th, Ruth Plater, Rebecca Stani? and Elaine Dixon attended
France-IX’s General Meeting in Paris as IX Reach was a sponsoring party of the annual event.
Over 100 members of France-IX came together to discuss topics surrounding the French Internet Exchange including its new members, expanding into new markets, protocols, electing new board members and of course presentations, especially one given by IX Reach’s Head of Marketing, Ruth, entitled “Remote Peering – A Shift in Internet Infrastructure.”
A key event that took place during the meeting, was the election of new board members; to keep France-IX fresh, two existing members are randomly selected to step down, and two new members are elected during the GM. This year, the two that were voted in were Lionel Marie, representing Schneider Electric and Mathieu Paonessa, representing Jaguar Network.
