Dublin Internet Exchange, INEX, Joins IX Reach Partner List

London, May 2013: IX Reach, a global layer 2 carrier, has added the Dublin based Internet Neutral Exchange, INEX, to its extensive list of Internet Exchange (IX) partners, allowing them to connect their customers into Ireland and access a wider network. This new partnership will provide IX Reach customers with much better coverage when entering the Irish and European marketplaces, by providing them with direct and secure connectivity and colocation into INEX. Hosted in Interxion DUB1, customers can choose capacities ranging from 100Mbps to multiple 10Gbps and connect to the exchange via IX Reach’s signature remote peering service, from anywhere on their global network. IX Reach connects to INEX via the lowest available latency path between London and Dublin, making it ideal for trading and financial enterprises. Steve Wilcox, Founder and Director of IX Reach, commented, “A focus of IX Reach from the beginning has been to strengthen partnerships with Internet Exchanges, so we’re happy to be able to bring INEX to our customers and help improve their connectivity across Europe. We are sure INEX will prove a popular IX and bring in customers from across Europe and North America.” Founded in 1996, INEX provides IP peering facilities for its members and is open to all organisations able to benefit from peering their IP traffic. “With many of the International content companies peering at INEX already coupled with the majority of local content and over 95% of Irish ‘eyeball’ networks, the exchange presents an excellent peering opportunity for those within and outside Ireland”, said Eileen Gallagher, marketing and membership development at INEX. “Working with reseller partners, like IX Reach, we are bringing these content and eyeball networks to a wider audience. In particular it will appeal to organisations who want the benefits of peering at INEX without getting involved in the complexities of the backhaul.” Give in to peering pressure and find out more about IX Reach’s global network and connection options to INEX from anywhere on-net – contact enquiries@ixreach.com or call +44 845 013 0845.
