IX Reach brings global connectivity to Manchester DC UKFast

February 2018 - Manchester, UK: UKFast’s Manchester-based data centres offer an ever-expanding global hub of connectivity thanks to a long-standing partnership with network connectivity solutions provider IX Reach. "IX Reach provides a direct connection into the key cloud platforms and point-to-point connectivity into all the major Internet Exchanges around the world - including AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX and France-IX - opening up the opportunity for UKFast's colocation customers to access Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and peer with hundreds of ISPs across the globe." IX Reach has networks which bypass London enabling traffic to connect to Europe, North America and Asia without any slowdown, making the world even more accessible for clients of UKFast. The partnership formed in 2013 when IX Reach saw the potential of working with one of the UK’s leading hosting providers. IX Reach successfully collaborated with UKFast after a North West data centre fell into administration to facilitate the migration of services into UKFast’s MANOC6 facility. IX Reach is focused on expanding its network and partner directory, incorporating more Internet Exchange points (IXPs) and Cloud platforms globally. Paul Collier, Sales Engineer at IX Reach commented: "IX Reach works in partnership with UKFast to enable wider spread connectivity over our resilient and reliable network to the UK, Europe, USA and further afield in the Middle East and Asia. Not only will UKFast customers be able to access new global PoPs, they'll be able to access our full portfolio of services and products such as cloud connectivity and remote peering at all the key Cloud platforms and Internet Exchanges." UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: "It’s fantastic to offer our clients access to IX Reach’s global network from our market-leading data centres. We bring some of the world's biggest carrier providers to Manchester to provide a hub of connectivity outside London."
