IX Reach’s visit to NANOG 66
Last week, the IX Reach team, consisting of Ruth Plater, Rob Parker, John Hill and Stephen Wilcox headed out to San Diego for the most recent
NANOG 66 event, hosted at the
Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. The event began on Monday 8th February with breakfast and the opening addresses. This was followed by a day of panels, tracks and meetings which the IX Reach attendees took part in - covering topics such as IPv6, NetDevOps and IXPs (to see the full agenda click

Tuesday saw sessions covering coding, security and BGP and Wednesday covered topics like CDN, optical interconnects and peering, with the conference being drawn to a close by Betty Burke, NANOG's Executive Director.
The evenings during the event were filled with socials, with the official opening event, on Monday night, hosted by Console Inc and Tuesday night's social hosted by Facebook, this gave the team plenty of time to relax and unwind after days packed full of meetings.
IX Reach would like to thank NANOG for organising another exciting and educational event and are already looking forward to the next NANOG event taking place in Chicago.
