The IX Reach girls run for Cancer Research UK

cancer-research-logoThe IX Reach Runners - Running to Support Cancer Research UK

If you've ever met Elaine DixonRuth PlaterRebecca Stanić, at an event like International Telecoms Week (ITW), Pacific Telecoms Council (PTC) or European Peering Forum (EPF), you'll know they love their fitted blazers, high heels and manicured nails, but for one incredibly dirty and muddy day they're changing their style to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Although cancer survival rates in the UK have doubled in the last 40 years, more than one in three people will still develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Now, half of people diagnosed with cancer will survive but we want to give people an even better chance of fighting this terrible disease. L-R: Ruth Plater, Rebecca Stanić, and Elaine Dixon On October 5th on Clapham Common, Elaine, Ruth and Rebecca will be taking part in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life - Pretty Muddy®; a 5k obstacle course that gets incredibly muddy.

The girls have set a target of raising £1,000 for this worthwhile cause - if you'd like to support them in hitting this target, visit their JustGiving page to make your donation.
